HAVANA (AP) — Eight Americans who graduated from a Cuban medical school say they will put the education paid for by Fidel Castro's communist government to use in hospitals back home.

Dr. Wu may feel that she has an advantage over US-trained doctors, but she also faces quite a few hurdles before becoming a practicing physician in the US. She will have to pass parts I-III of USMLE, complete an internship in the US, then compete with thousands of foreign medical grads for a residency. Good luck to her!
