Trust between nations in this post-9/11 era seems to be at an all time low. Concern for problems in far away lands are low on the agendas of most countries. Genocides have occurred sporadically throughout history, as far as I can tell. I would like to think that genocide is not a consequence of human nature, but perhaps it is. It will take a revolutionary type of leadership and international spirit and awareness to solve this and future genocides.
However, I did fill out the postcard!
